AfterSchool at ARTworks: Fused Glass

Ages 12-16

This class gives students an opportunity to explore glass as art. Glass fusing is the process of using a kiln to join together pieces of glass with heat. Students will learn how to cut and assemble various projects to include glass bugs, tiles and bowls. Students will also create a group project. We will discuss different types of glass, safety, the science of glass fusing and the amazing potential of fused glass.
